Horizon Awards X

Horizon Awards X was the tenth edition of the Horizon Awards, held on October 10th 2023. Initially planned to be held in a newly built event centre in Cardiff, the event was required to move to Bayview Theatre following construction delays. The awards were presented by Edgewurth.

Nine awards were awarded in total, with each podium winner being awarded a custom head. "Best City" was won by hosting city Bayview, with Bayview's airport winning "Best Architecture" for the second consecutive ceremony. Megastore Aramega won "Best Company", continuing their unbroken winning streak since the award company's first edition. "Best Player" was won by ~Cakey, "Best Skin" by Arakorni89, "Best Ironball Team" by the Blue Bay Phantoms, "Best Discord" by nicochulo2001's cult, "Best Media" by the HelloMiners Wiki Project and "Best Quote" by nightemperor.

Following the change of location, Bayview became the only city to host the awards twice, having previously hosted the third edition in its stadium. Edgewurth expressed their intention to request Cardiff host the next edition of the awards instead.

The awards were sarcastically claimed to be rigged by many in the audience, owing to Bayview owner CakeDevil winning a record 5 of the 9 awards, the only time a single player has won more than half of the awards at a Horizon Award event. These claims were rejected by Hexigen.

Early Announcements

During November 2022, Edgewurth had revealed a three-event plan for Horizon Awards, and mentioned a fourth event. He revealed that the tenth event would likely take place during Spring 2024, codenamed Project Azure. He also revealed that he hoped that it would be in Cardiff.
