The Republic of Bayview (RoB) is a nation located primarily in the Southeast of the HelloMiners map. Bayview is the nation’s capital and largest city, while Traquai is a historical city, and Corvelo is a recent addition to the republic, having been founded in 2026.

The Republic’s principal urban area consists of the Blue Bay, it's name having been previously used to refer to collaborations between Bayview and Traquai, the two cites bordering the ocean. The republic is predominately known for its emphasis on roleplay, with a developed and well-known system of government, and acts as a major player in server-wide politics.

History

See main page(s): History of Bayview, History of Trakai, History of Corvelo The first city in the republic, Trakai, was founded in 2018 by DominationLT, on what was then the server border on the western bank of Blue Bay. When he became inactive, the city was transferred to PoipleBear in 2020, and in turn Albinary in 2022, who renamed the city Traquai.

Bayview was founded in 2019 by CakeDevil_275 on the eastern bank of Blue Bay. After rapid expansion, it was connected to Traquai by rail and road, effectively administering the city during PoipleBear’s inactivity. Under Albinary’s leadership, the two began collaborating heavily on infrastructure, roleplay and sport.

The two cities remained entirely separate entities until Traquai was incorporated in to the nation formed by Bayview’s ascension to Tier 6 in 2024. Due to its distinct history, Traquai still retains more autonomy than other cities in the Republic.

Corvelo was developed from a coastal lumber farm in early 2026, designed as a resort town for wealthy players’ entertainment. Its ascension to the Republic marks the first instance that the nation’s territory extended north of the equator.

Administration

While Bayview, Traquai and Corvelo are approved cities in their own right, the RoB is internally divided in to five administrative 'counties'. Within the Republic, a 'town' or 'village' often refers to a settlement that is not an approved city in its own right, but geographically distinct from the city it is parented to.

Corvelo County and Traquai County (French: Comté de Traquai) are coextensive with Corvelo and Traquai, respectively. Within the official boundaries of Bayview lie three counties. Capital County contains much of the urban, coastal area of Bayview. Silvester County encapsulates the area of countryside and rural farmland that surrounds the city's urban centre. Bayse County is coextensive with the rural town of Bayse, east of the city near Alexandria.

The nation is governed by the Bayview Assembly, a unicameral legislature consisting of a cabinet of departmental leaders. Due to its unique history, Traquai enjoys far more autonomy from the Republic's central government than other cities. The King of Traquai (French: Roi de Traquai) automatically hosts the title of Vice-President of Bayview, and holds a limited veto power over legislation regarding Traquai.
