Horizon Awards is the longest running and most famous awards company, owned by Edgewurth, and has bi-annual award ceremonies.
History
Founding
The origins of Horizon Awards and the industry can be found as far back as 2016, with the Helloclannies awards. There were a number of events and award companies that were introduced, such as HelloClannies, Lego Awards, HM Choice and Steedz Awards. Horizon Awards would be founded and introduce Horizon Awards I, then known as Horizon Awards 2019, would take place in the Kingdom of Haven.
The Top Six
Horizon Awards would continue with a further two events during 2020, both being Horizon Awards II and Horizon Awards III. Nicochulo2001 would join the team with this the second event, and ayalaandtal with the third. The latter would be hosted in Bayview
In 2021, Horizon Awards would continue with Horizon Awards IV and Horizon Awards V, which would continue the previous formula seen in the previous three, and be hosted at Archendale and Alexandria. Horizon Awards VI would be introduced, with a new formula. This would inevitably be hosted during 2022 in Montego Bay, alongside Horizon Awards VII which would return to the previous formula, and run in Cape Coral.
Almost-Death
With Horizon Awards VIII, NYCEmpire would purchase half of Horizon Awards, and begin planning for Horizon Awards. He would later be banned while Edgewurth would be on holiday, resulting in Edgewurth, despite planning to take a break until Horizon Awards IX, taking over again and asking staff what will happen to what was NYCEmpire's share as a result of his ban.
Regrowth
Horizon Awards announced the ninth event during March 2023, running it during April and May 2023. The tenth event took place during Autumn 2023.
The eleventh event was announced during November 2023 and was scheduled to take place during March 2024, but got delayed twice -- once due to avalibility of the potential hosts meaning a delay until May, and the second time due to Ryan's avalibility -- delaying it by 24 hours.
Format
The format of Horizon Awards has stayed relatively the same, with only 1 difference for Horizon Awards VI. The next Horizon Awards event would often be announced at the end of the previous one, with some exceptions, feature nominations and voting segments lasting at least 2 months prior to the event, and a event normally on a notable date, normally at the start or end of a month.
The Stage
The stage has always been a integral part of Horizon Awards. Introduced in Horizon Awards III as a result of hosting in a facility without a proper podium of sorts, Horizon Awards has regularly attempted to produce a stage.
