Traquai, formerly Trakai, is a city located in the Southeast of Hellominers, and the second largest city in the Republic of Bayview. A Tier 1 city following a largely European style, it is a member of the Southern Union for Development and the Southern Union. Traquai’s official language is French, making it one of the only cities on Hellominers to not use English as an official language.

History
This city was created in 2018. It first featured modern-style buildings near its nether portal, with a high-rise city hall building. There were plans for an airport to be built at Trakai under DominationLT's control, however this has not been completed. Trakai was transferred to PoipleBear as DominationLT had become inactive on HelloMiners. Trakai does not currently have a stadium, however has used its Ironball field for Ironball tournaments and games. Trakai and Bayview are both part of "Blue Bay", a partnership of both cities to work together to achieve common goals.

Geography
Trakai has 3 distinct yet unofficial zones, with one being its skyscraper/modern look from the beginnings of Trakai, with a suburb zone south of it, and a new European-based zone to the southwest of both zones, featuring the Trakai train station as well as further developments that have arisen since the handoff to PoipleBear and later also Albinary.

Travel Hubs
Trakai is connected to the Central "SUD" railway line, alongside the Great Eastern Railway. It is also connected to Montego Bay through the SR3 highway. Transport links within the city are only existant within the European-based zone, where there is a tram that links several parts of the zone. The tram system matches the Bayview tram system, as they were both built by Albinary. Within this zone, there is no automotive infrastructure.

Design
Trakai's southwestern European-based zone is planned to have no plots, and buildings specifically for roleplay or governmental use. The northeastern zone with reminents of the old Trakai is largely inactive currently, however there is intent to work on this zone from Albinary.

Great Eastern Railway

CakeDevil 275:

The Great Eastern Railway (GER) is a double track high-speed railway that links Archendale to Alexandria via Traquai and Bayview. The line was constructed in mid-2021 by CakeDevil_275 and Endershack and now makes up part of the Southern Union for Development railway network.

History
The idea of connecting Archendale, Trakai (now Traquai) and Bayview was first proposed in September 2020 under the project name "Barchai". The project did not gain traction until Alexandria's creation in 2020, and Bayview and Alexandria were the first to connect by rail in 2021. Due to PoipleBear's inactivity, the route almost bypassed Trakai and only stopped in a temporary station until Traquai train station was constructed by Albinary. Construction completed in Archendale in summer 2021. It became part of the SUD's railway system at the end of 2021.

As one of the first inter-city high-speed rail lines, the GER has kept relative autonomy from SUD standardisation for names and track design. The line remains under the joint ownership of the respective city owners and efforts to extend it have been largely rejected.

Route
The railway begins in a small single-platform station under Archendale International Airport and continues underground, arriving at Traquai train station, which is also served by the SUD's South Line and local tram services. The line surfaces as it leaves Traquai and crosses Blue Bay over the Wave Bridge, a white concrete railway bridge resembling two rising waves which also carries the South Line over that ocean. It arrives at Platforms 1 and 2 of Palm Junction station in Bayview, which is also served by SUD's South Line and Baylink as well as local tram, subway and bus services. After passing through the Bayview countryside, the line enters a tunnel on its approach to Alexandria where it terminates at a single-platform station under Alexandria Airport.

Baylink is a high-speed railway linking Bayview to Crystal Bay via Cape Coral. Built as the first collaboration between the Southern Union for Development (SUD) and the Transportation Department (NTD), construction on the railway between Bayview and Cape Coral took place from 2021 to 2022 while construction from Cape Coral to Crystal Bay was completed in 2023.

History
A railway connection between Bayview and neighbouring Cape Coral was first proposed by the SUD in 2021 to accompany the construction of the SR6 highway connecting the cities' road systems. Construction of the railway connection finished April 2022, concurrently with the highway, and both continue to be owned and managed by the SUD. Proposals for the SUD extending the railway to Crystal Bay date back to May 2022, but the connection was only built once PrinceAdam of the NTD acquired land for a Crystal Bay train station from Daisypark777 in early 2023. The NTD constructed the railway between Crystal Bay and Cape Coral in 2023, completing the route. The SUD portion of the line underwent significant realignment during the construction of the Cape Coral Circuit in 2023.

Route
The line begins on Platforms 7 and 8 underneath Palm Junction Station in central Bayview, which is also served by the Great Eastern Railway, South Line and local subway, bus and tram services. The railway surfaces and merges to form one track as it leaves Bayview, and follows the route of the SR6 Highway (also informally called Baylink) until reaching Platform 2 of Cape Coral train station, which is also served by a railway line to Yakaze. The subsequent portion of the line leaves from Platform 1 of Cape Coral station, and travels overground, stopping at Cape Coral North station. After travelling through the countryside north of Cape Coral, the line terminates at Crystal Bay railway station, north of Crystal Bay.

HMSU v. W.A.S.P war

2024-10-30T17:50:29Z

CakeDevil 275: Wrote the bulk of the article

The HMSU vs W.A.S.P war was a war fought between the HelloMiners Soviet Union (HMSU) and a coalition of other cities in 2021. The conflict began when Gurbanguly of the HMSU declared war on the United States of Sodom (USS) in June 2021.

On June 19th 2021, The Worldwide Agreement on Server Protection (WASP) was formed among USS allies Argos, Bayview and Antec who issued an ultimatum to the HMSU on 24 June. The ultimatum, calling for an immediately disarmament and revocation of all war declarations, was accepted by Gurbanguly; however Bayview intelligence found the HMSU to be recruiting soldiers the next day. WASP declared war on the HMSU on 25 June. On 30 June, the HMSU declared war on Cytra City, which was neutral at the time, leading them to join the WASP alliance. The same day, Avara City joined the war in support of the HMSU. In a surprise move to both sides, on 2 July Dove Valley president MrPumpcan declared war on the HMSU, Avara City, Flowing Meadows and Alexandria (the latter two being neutral). The declaration was met with ridicule, and was withdrawn 9 hours later.

The war consisted of both sides constructing military bases and warships near enemy cities, releasing propaganda and spying on eachother. Notably, Endershack was found out to be a WASP spy on 3 July, and was removed from HMSU government. The war ended on 11 July, after the HMSU ceased attacks on WASP positions and Ayalaandtal rescinded WASP's declaration of war. Tensions between HMSU and WASP cities, particularly Bayview and Argos, continued to be strained despite the end of the conflict. WASP expanded during 2022, with the addition of the Kingdom of Haven, Alexandria and Paradise Hills but was dissolved on 22 May.

While PvP and deaths were limited, the conflict attracted significant public engagement, most notably on the Hellominers forum, and spawned more than 40 posts including a suggestion for a war plugin. It marked a turning point for inter-city roleplay, and cities began to form alliance blocs.

NarwhalsRcool is an American Administrator, founder of Plague Island, owner of Port June, founder of the Hellominers Historical Society, builder of the N.A.R.S. Overworld Tunnel System, former head of the Wilderness Conservation Department, owner of the Rare Items Magical Pawn Shop and a prominent record keeper.
Joining and Early Achievements
NarwhalsRcool joined Hellominers on July 7th, 2015, following a long period of playing Minecraft exclusively on Xbox 360. He was taken in by bobish14 and slowly integrated into the community, starting his long career of community based projects. Nar would spend the next four years on several of these self started projects, including creating a comprehensive guide for the server's nether tunnel system, performing large scale demolition and terraforming work, and the founding of Plague Island, an island resort that focused on getting new players started on the server by providing cheap housing and early job availability.
Moderator
NarwhalsRcool was given the role of Moderator through recommendations from both KingOfCamels101 and SpartanPride7, after he created the N.A.R.S. Overworld Tunnel System for the government almost singlehandedly, which travels under one of the largest oceans in the server.

NarwhalsRcool would spend the next year working under the Bootsoo-Magnus Administration, performing a large amount of tickets along with doing several smaller government projects.

Later, Nar would temporarily be given world edit permissions in order to smooth out the borders of the "Ring", a section of the map that was expanded using alternate seed generation causing a circle of alternate biomes around the original map. This project took one year to complete, and in exchange, he was given ownership of Port June (Bootstoo's former city that was under government ownership).

While attempting to sort out the remnants of Port June, Nar was given two staff warnings (both for mistakes made during the process), and Nar was officially removed from staff just before his two year anniversary on staff.

History
Joining and Promotion to Staff
MagnusFrost would be promoted to the Technician role by 25 April 2020, and would also become Technician shortly after joining the server.

After being promoted, he gained a large influence over the server, adding controversial and opposed features, such as a hub world, without teddes approval. Other features were added such as Slimefun and Fishing. He later resigned with Bootstoo, and left the server.

At the time Magnus wanted to branch off from HelloMiners and take ownership over the server, when he asked Tedde how much he wanted for the server, Tedde declined Magnus's offer.

Edgewurth, aka Raven Edgewurth, RE, Egg or Edge, is a British HelloMiners Player, and Developer. They're also the Lead Wiki Maintainer, and owner of Cardiff.

History
2016: Tasmin_Angel
Edgewurth joined during 2016 as Tasmin_Angel. They were a reckless and shy kid who occassionally chatted, but mainly strayed far from normal activity due to issues settling down, and the fact it was thier first Multiplayer Minecraft Server he joined. They would purchase 1 plot, which would later get no progress and be evicted from Snow City (now Terranova) as a result of forced inactivity due to family commitments and lack of a computer.

2017-2018: Ryan_Shorthorn and Valucifer's Enterprises
Edgewurth, at the time known as Ryan_Shorthorn, would return to start several start-ups, and have false ambitions to become staff and own a city. They false-reported numerous members of the community, and started a business called 'Valucifer's Enterprises', which would not gain any profits, and fall hard during Summer 2018, being replaced with Shorthorn Limited. This company would last until 2019, when the first of the Horizon line of companies would be started: Horizon Awards.

2019: The Start of Horizon Awards, and the Horizon Branding
Edgewurth went through 3 different username changes, ran Cape Coral for 3 months, then sold it. They then fell into the wrong crowd, became Player Helper for around 1 year, and joined the Private City Department shortly after becoming Player Helper. They would indirectly cause the History#bootstoo Administration Period (2019-2020) by being involved in one of bootstoo's ventures, and recommending her to be staff to various staff members. They would later fall-out and this would lead to bootstoo thinking they hold a high ground on the staff team.

2020-2021: The Horizon Enterprises Era
Horizon Awards led to them using the Horizon name very often, and Edgewurth also opened Cytra City, which was meant to open with supermagicalplay. They later sold it so they could focus on Infrastructure and making a superior city, since Cytra was built over 2 years, and upon it's launch, they felt it didn't fit thier new style and expectations. They opened Horizon Enterprises as a holdings company, and later started Horizon Estate Agency and Horizon Mart.

They later became Head of Infrastructure after requesting the position, and they then became known for roleplay. They also became more unpredictable, sometimes choosing the worst choices. They were head from January to September, later deciding to resign after 9 months since he felt as though he couldn't go on, with them feeling the need to take a break from HelloMiners, wanting to plan thier future path, and have a semi-reset.

Present
They would keep Cardiff and Horizon Awards. Since leaving all Government Departments, citing the reasons as above, went on to re-plan thier future path, and work out how they would work with the community. He would join the Southern Union for Development (S.U.D) with his at-the-time work-in-progress city Cardiff. They would also become the Manager of Suburbs throughout the later half of 2022 to early 2023, be a Player Senate speaker during part of 2023, and later a Developer in November 2023.
